Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry

These are some of the types of procedures that allows us to pursue such goals:

VENEERS

Layer of material adhered to the tooth structure to improve the shape, position and color of the teeth.

Veneers can be made of:

Composite: play dough like material that hardens with the use of a special light. half-life 3 to 5 years, after it starts breaking and staining. Take one visit.

Ceramic:  named lithium disilicate (upgraded ceramic better than porcelain), it’s the material that closest resembles the tooth structure, providing high strength and esthetics. Half-life of ceramic veneers is 15 years. Takes 2 visits within 1 business week in order to be finished.

CERAMIC VENEERS

Make significant improvements to the appearance of your smile. How does it work? Veneers are thin, custom-made shells that cover the fronts of your teeth, created from a tooth-colored ceramic material used to improve the shade and shape of your teeth. How long does it take? During your arrival, you will have an initial consultation, so treatment options can be presented and approved by you. The final result will be delivered by our in-house lab from 4 to 5 business days for a final cementation. How much is it? Veneers are specifically designed for each person. During your initial appointment, the dentist will discuss your conditions specific to your treatment and expectations, evaluate your mouth, and create a complete plan to revitalize your smile. Our fees are usually a third or less US fees.

CROWNS

Full coverage of the severely damaged tooth.

Restore damaged teeth to the former splendor. It reconstructs and protects the remaining missing part so the tooth longevity can significantly increase How does it work? Crowns are caps that cover 360° of the teeth, preventing it from breaking or reconstructing it, when it can’t be done by a traditional filling. How long does it take? During your stay, you will have an initial evaluation and we will prepare the tooth conservatively. A temporary crown will be created, polished and cemented, until the final ceramic crown (after a few days) is tried in and examined for perfection to cement it. Takes 2 visits within 1 business week.

CERAMIC FILLING

Also known as onlays, inlays, table tops, veneerlays. Reconstructs the tooth when more than 50% of the tooth structure is missing due to fractures from chewing or grinding, severe cavities or after the removal of ill filling restorations. Takes 2 visits within 1 business week.

Durable and more genuine ceramic fillings. How does it work? When you have damage or tooth decay within the cusp of a tooth, inlays and onlays are a suitable choice.

An inlay is used similarly to a traditional filling, but looks much more genuine. Often, inlays may replace traditional fillings that failed or fell out, since they are more durable. An onlay is necessary when less than two thirds need reconstruction, where it extends out over one or more cusps of the tooth. How long does it take? During your stay, you will have an initial appointment in which the damaged tooth will be prepared for molding. Your custom inlay or onlay will be ready in one week to be placed on the damaged tooth, to try the fit and esthetics and then approve it to cement it permanently. How much is it? Since there could be different approaches, an estimate will be provided during your comprehensive evaluation.

TEETH WHITENING

Chemical process that oxidizes the internal structure of the tooth, therefore brightening the appearance. Our custom-made process involves two sessions in the office of approx. 20 min each and delivering of trays to be use at home, which that allows a minimally invasive and also minimal side effects to the oral tissues, such as almost none post op sensitivity, no premature aging of the pulp and less rebound of the final results. Takes 2 visits within 3 business days.

Quick and different way to improve your smile. How does it work? For in-office whitening, such as boost whitening, we cover your lips and gums before applying a thin protective coating of gel to protect your teeth, then the paste is chairside activated and applied for two sessions of 20 minutes each. In the same appointment, we take molds of your teeth to supply you with custom trays, as well as professional whitening syringes to be used at home to improve the outcome.

How long does it take? You can relax and listen to music while we remove stains and transform your smile during 1 hour approximately. If you choose in-office whitening for an immediate transformation, and take-home kits, which will gradually brighten your smile over a few weeks,

FILLINGS

Placed when less than 40 or 50% of the tooth structure is destroyed or missing,

A mercury free practice. How does it work? A soft composite resin filling is scooped onto the teeth, and the dentist shapes it. Light is then applied to the composite, which hardens the material. Finally, the dentist polishes the surface to obtain a natural looking appearance that blends with the tooth. How long does it take? Welcome one naturally pleasing tooth-colored filling in just one appointment. Since there could be different approaches, an estimate will be provided during your comprehensive evaluation.

COSMETIC RECONTOURING

Fix minor problems

How does it work? Cosmetic recontouring can often be done in one visit. The procedure is relatively quick, simple, painless, and inexpensive. How long does it take? Welcome one naturally pleasing tooth-colored filling in just one appointment. How much is it? Since there could be different approaches, an estimate will be provided during your comprehensive evaluation.

DENTURES

Replace teeth that have become loose or lost. How does it work? Designed to improve the aesthetic appeal of a person’s face, cosmetic dentures can be used to close gaps, replace missing teeth or improve upon previous denture work. How long does it take? In order to reconstruct well-fitting and functioning dentures, there is a process of 5 to 6 appointments that are spread within a couple of days, which are made in conjunction with the lab. On each appointment you will have an opportunity to express your satisfaction and your individual preference for the shape and shade of your new set of teeth.  There are different types of teeth. Upon further discussion with the Doctor, you can decide which option is best for you.
